Luxor, the city that's often named the largest open door museum in the world. The ancient Greek name Thebes or Thebes are used a lot for ancient Luxor, but when the Greek period started in Egypt the city was already over its glorious days. These days was from the Middle Kingdom (some four thousand years ago) and up to late Pharaonic period.
